This month started with a quick visit to Toulouse for an upgrade
audit on a global American Company. These upgrade audits to AS 9100 Rev
C are becoming the routine audit at the moment but each one is taking
much more time than previously and is contributing to a shortage of
auditing time before the deadline of 1 July 2012. My wife and I went on
a well deserved holiday for 1 week to Morocco which we found to be a
fascinating country although the numbers of tourists were limited in
number. I well liked the compromise where you could be served alcohol
if you were not in line of sight of a mosque! An extensive tour of
Jeddah and Riyadh saw me do a major AS 9110 upgrade and another AS 9110
1st stage audit in preparation of the 2nd stag audit next year.
Consultancy work was limited to agreeing with a marketing company a plan
of work for the next 2 months in time for me to act on recommendations
later in the year. My application to be a volunteer at the London
Olympics has gone 1 step further with an interview in London to be part
of the driving team.
